Hi there, I’m Nana Bonnie and have had the
opportunity to dabble in several kinds of hand-crafts.
I’ve also done some gardening and look forward to getting to do some of
that again. |

I have two daughters and four grandchildren to date. Their ages range
from a grandson in his early twenties to an almost-five-year-old at the
time of this writing. |

In the early to mid-sixties (when I was in my early
teens), my Granny, Anna Mae Young, came to stay with us and it was she
that taught me to crochet. Having had this craft passed to me from my
grandmother has been an enjoyable and useful skill throughout my life. |

Over the years I’ve learned and tried my hand at several
other hand-crafts. Sewing was a necessity when my girls were growing up
but it was an outlet for creativity as well. |

In the mid-eighties or so I discovered Tandy Leather
Company and found another avenue of creativity that I enjoy. I began to
learn how to sew and tool leather which adds a little different taste to
a wardrobe. |

At one point I found a knitting machine and looms to be
another outlet of creativity and more recently I’ve played with some
beading and have developed some different hair accessories for those of
us with longer hair. Some of the accessories are a ‘blast from the past’
and are designed out of leather. These are developed from some hair
accessories that my mother had and wore years ago. |

At this point I don’t believe I will ever have time to
be board, but have hopes to share the products and enjoyment with
others. |
